As part of the talented Plant 4 maintenance team, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing operation, helping write and optimize PM’s. Daily tasks can range from planning and executing RCM events, assisting in trouble shooting machines or automation, implementing a preventative/predictive maintenance procedure, and assist in creating and updating equipment PM’s. You will be consistently learning, adapting, and improving processes to support operations in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Functions: 

  • Develop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Responsible for conducting Root Cause Failure Analysis and determining solutions to prevent repeat failures.
  • Analyze equipment reliability and appropriate means for improvement.
  • Identifying resources and/or expertise with suppliers and engineering partners to help solve chronic problems.
  • Assists in production equipment repair, rebuild or replacement decisions.
  • Ensures appropriate stock levels of replacement parts, monitors the quality of those parts and suggests corrective actions for poor quality parts.
  • Support TPM efforts and/or lead equipment improvement teams.
  • Write/Modify/Review/Optimize PM’s on a regular basis using feedback from Trades, OEM’s, and Manufacturing Engineering
  • Review PM workload, work with Production Planners and Supervisors to schedule PM's around production schedules and assign resources to complete
  • Document/write maintenance SOP's to perform repair and diagnostic functions
  • In charge of obtaining and organizing machine manuals in electronic and print medias
  • Participates in the supervision of workload distribution, technical employee training, work force level modifications and analysis of employee capabilities and training

Required Qualifications: 

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent
  • Knowledge of plant, electrical, and mechanical engineering                       
  • Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of plant and machinery operation.
  • Thorough knowledge of maintenance techniques, schematics, and part specifications
  • Strong employee relations management experience with the ability to coach, direct and develop employees.
  • Working knowledge of metal fabrication, foundry operations, and robotics
  • Knowledge of administrative procedures and strong record keeping skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to motivate team members.
  • Understanding of connected operations maintenance and manufacturing measurement systems
  • Must be self-motivated with the ability to drive tasks to completion regardless of obstacles.
  • Project Management experience
  • Oracle or similar CMMS experience desired
  • Knowledge of reliability-based maintenance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience in maintenance supervision.
  • Reliability Engineering
  • 3 or more years of prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in plant maintenance.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with UKG / Kronos
  • Lean Six Sigma experience.

Working Conditions: 

  • Main workstation will be your office in our machining facilities, with as-needed trips to the production floor, heat treat facility.
  • Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes with metatarsal guards required at all times when on the production floor.
  • Mix between office and production floor, variance is driven by operational needs.
  • Exposure to machine shop manufacturing setting (noises, moving vehicles/parts, minor coolant & oil mist, etc.)
  • Occasional light to medium lifting up to 20 lbs.
  • Physical requirements are standing, sitting, typing, and stooping.
