Your role and responsibilities

In this role you will develop embedded software for ABB Excitation Systems . You will also showcase your expertise by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid #Linkedin_Hybrid

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Development of new and legacy embedded software for ABB Excitation projects in C++

  • Dealing with internal and external resources

  • Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)

  • Working as a part of an agile software development team

  • Specification, implementation, test and documentation of object-oriented real-time embedded software

  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems

  • Collaborate with product and other software development teams

  • Comply with project plans and industry standards

  • Ensure software is updated with latest feature


Qualifications for the role:

  • Proven work experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer, minimum 5 years in C/C++

  • Knowhow in DevOps/CICD, Git, Azure

  • Team player and also able to work independently in a distributed, diverse collaboration environment

  • Ability to document requirements and specifications

  • Ability for fast learning

  • BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field

  • Fluent English, German as an asset
