Are you energized by a logistics planning role that will enhance your leadership skills and allow you to drive regional supply strategies?  If so, this Site Scheduling Manager role could be an ideal opportunity to explore.

As a Site Scheduling Manager, you will develop, deploy manage and track the regional strategy roadmap to deliver the GSK Supply Chain (SC) winning formula, thereby supporting the overall GSK business objectives and priorities.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Ensuring maintenance of an accurate Open Order Book so systems can be used to identify when product shipments are scheduled to occur.

  • Ensuring execution of a Fixed Frequency Repeating Schedule (FFRS) methodology to package finished goods.

  • Ensuring execution of a level-loaded schedule to supply the FFRS with any intermediates required.

  • Ensuring measurement of Conformance to Schedule (CTS) for all Production work centers.

  • Ensuring attendance of Production Schedulers at supply chain performance management sessions (daily) to represent all work centers within a single site in the GSK Manufacturing network.

  • Ensuring provision (to the Supply Chain Planning Team) of daily/shift performance figures for all work centers within a single site in the GSK Manufacturing network.

  • Ensuring maintenance of an up-to-date capacity definition for select production work centers, based on demonstrated output and CTS.

  • Ensuring execution of a pre-defined Performance Management process to ensure order fulfillment, whilst maintaining strict adherence to the FFRS methodology and intent.

  • Accommodate any non-standard activities (i.e. NPI, artwork change) into the production schedule whilst continually maintaining adherence to the FFRS methodology.

  • Ensure constant monitoring, maintenance and accuracy of all critical data fields within the systems that are related to work centers each Production Scheduler is responsible for

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: B.S., M.S., Pharmacy, Chemistry, Logistics or supply chain discipline plus 5 years directly related experience.

  • 4+ years of experience in strategy deployment or project management

  • Logistics experience in a Current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment

  • Lean Six Sigma certification

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Master’s degree in supply chain management

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills

  • Excellent leadership and influencing skills

  • Strong SAP knowledge

  • Qualification in a supply chain related discipline, logistics, supply management, demand management, operational management or MBA.

  • Pharmaceutical/FMCG Experience

  • Substantial experience in site logistics.

  • Leadership and development of a team of schedulers.

  • Good knowledge of site operations, Supply Chain processes and supporting systems within a global business environment.

  • Strong understanding of commercials drivers, objectives and challenges.

  • Strong relationship management building skills, with the ability to interact, influence, and manage multiple and varied business contacts, both internal and external, often with different requirements and goals.

  • Understanding of political/economic/financial processes and able to construct business proposals and implementation plans

GSK’s Zebulon site is a global supplier of Respiratory and Solid Dose medicines to patients around the globe and the largest GSK Pharmaceutical secondary manufacturing site in North America.  The site is located less than 30 minutes from downtown Raleigh, Wendell, Knightdale, Rocky Mount, Wilson, and Wake Forest.
