Job Description:

Dimensional Fund Advisors are looking to hire an institutional sales leader (Regional Director) to join our Amsterdam office and drive business development efforts across the Nordics/Benelux region reporting to a local CEO and Global Head of Institutional Sales. This is a key hire in the region as we seek to grow our institutional presence across Northern Europe and the wider EMEA region and as such requires a candidate who enjoys building a business through proactive business development and outreach. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of building strong relationships at all levels of an Institutional client’s business to understand their investment needs and identify selling opportunities.

This role is ideally suited to an individual who enjoys the pursuit of new client acquisitions as well as developing and deepening existing relationships. Success in the role will require the candidate to acquire a deep understanding of Dimensional’s business processes, investment philosophy and approach, and effectively articulate this to clients. The candidate will work directly with the global distribution business along with other internal departments such as marketing, portfolio management, and analytics to ensure clients receive exceptional service and be accountable for the team delivering it.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, coordinate, and implement sales, client service and marketing regimes for institutional clients and prospects across Northern Europe.
  • Work with wealth focused sales channels team members to fully develop all opportunities in the region.
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with staff at all levels of a client’s business.
  • Provide constructive feedback on strategies and trends to the executive, sales and investment management teams.
  • Lead complex technical investment discussions, including review meetings, with a sophisticated audience.
  • Act as an intellectual contributor and a trusted advisor to our prospects and clients.
  • Be a spokesperson and champion of the Dimensional brand and investment philosophy throughout the industry and marketplace.
  • Work collaboratively with the local sales team to drive success as well as with the broader European and Global sales team

Desirable experience and attributes:

  • Significant investment sales experience required, ideally gained from working at an institutional asset manager in a sales and client service capacity.
  • Demonstrable strategic thought in growing a business in Northern Europe.
  • A strong sense of professional and personal integrity and high ethical standards.
  • Demonstration of initiative, accountability, and a focus on delivering consistent quality work.
  • Commitment to the philosophy and process underlying Dimensional’ s investment approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly with regards to conveying technical investment approaches and key selling points in a clear and compelling manner.
  • An extensive knowledge of the institutional investment business.
  • Ability to prioritize and to exercise time management.
  • A strong academic background is preferred.
  • A proven track record and history of sales success is required.
  • Fluency in Dutch and other European languages is beneficial but not essential.

Please note this role will form a part of our hybrid working schedule and will require the successful candidate to be based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam.
