Job Description Summary: As a Purchasing Expeditor you will be a part of a team that supports all of Airgas's Distribution Centers and regional companies throughout the U.S. In addition, you will be responsible for completing a daily review of hardgood vendor purchase orders that require expediting, as well as updating vendor ship dates on our PO documents in SAP.

  • Utilizes the PO Expedite Vendor Template to communicate with vendors in obtaining ship dates for open purchase orders.

  • Update Delivery Date fields on Airgas purchase order documents in SAP.

  • Utilize SAP Expedite T-codes to proactively address purchase orders that are not yet past due.

  • Communicate with order writers and/or branch associates, including branch managers, when necessary.

  • Utilizes the Airgas Expedite Tracking Database to monitor purchase order for compliance to delivery expectations, identify vendors with a pattern of late ships, and to identify products that are trending toward supply shortages.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Basic knowledge of Google Suite or Microsoft, including Excel.

  • Strong “client service” mindset and the ability to use collaborative and non-adversarial approaches in achieving diverse goals.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Associates degree may be substituted in lieu of work experience.

  • 1 to 3 years of Customer Service and/or Accounts Receivable experience preferred.
