Leidos is seeking an experienced senior leader to lead shared business services across the Navy & Marine Corps IT business. This leader will drive performance of direct and matrixed staff providing common services to programs and contracts within the business area, to enable their mission success, while also driving the day-to-day execution of the business area’s service center(s) and implementing business efficiencies. The candidate will be responsible for removing impediments from their teams and delivering outstanding services for multiple stakeholders including division, program, and Leidos leadership. Enabling successful leverage of Leidos best practices and capabilities applied to funded programs and contracts is a key tenant in this position. This encompasses support to existing operations as well as positioning for and executing successfully on new contract wins.

The ideal candidate will have experience in government contracting, program management, strategy, and business/financial management. In this position the candidate will need to exhibit strong leadership skills, independence, and the ability to lead and collaborate with teams to drive goals, objectives, initiatives, and continuous improvement.

Primary Responsibilities

Aligned with the job description, lead all capabilities and functions provided by the business services team including: 

  • Enterprise Resource Management, training, and capabilities
  • Risk, Issue, Opportunity Management
  • Collaboration framework design, adoption and program integration
  • Subcontract program management
  • Industrial security support
  • Business continuity and integration with Leidos EOC
  • Collaboration with Finance, Contracts, and other Leidos functional teams
  • Partnering with other Leidos business areas and programs to provide shared support
  • Lead regular status and performance reviews across all areas of responsibility and provide analysis and recommendation results to the Senior Leadership Team
  • Close coordination with Performance Excellence and Governance teams to ensure consistent, high performing, and repeatable performance that is scalable and flexible
  • Work with Leidos Corporate POCs to define and gain agreement on changes to existing practices in alignment with business needs
  • Forecast business performance and provide solutions/risk mitigation options to the business area
  • New business readiness
  • Administration of financial forecasts and plans for direct and indirect cost elements
  • Define and implement business process management continuous improvement initiatives

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years or prior relevant experience
  • Generally has 7+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects
  • Currently possess an active DoD Secret security clearance
  • Program Management experience managing complex programs or program/business offices of a similar scope and complexity
  • Experience organizing, directing, and managing contract and/or financial operation support functions involving multiple, complex, and interrelated tasks/competing priorities
  • Experience managing fixed and cost type contracts
  • Experience effectively communicating at senior levels within corporate and customer organizations
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating and coordinating across teams and components facilitating information sharing, reuse and productivity improvements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge and experience of Leidos program management standards, functional and business processes, and corporate capabilities.
  • Certification in Program, Project, or BP Management from a recognized credentialing agency
  • Capture/proposal management experience
  • Prior experience supporting transition efforts and new contract startup
  • Experience working with DoD/Department of the Navy
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), DFAR, and DoD procurement policies and procedures.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00
