What is the role?

We are looking to recruit a skilled Venue Safety Support Officer to assist the Head of Event Safety and Security and the Operations Co-Ordinator in the delivery of a first-class matchday and event delivery, as well as to assist in training stewards on the NVQ Level 2 Spectator Safety Qualification.

What will you be doing?

You will support with resourcing for matchdays and non-football events, including the communication and coordination of steward suppliers and traffic management providers, ensuring adequate staffing, service provision and all operational needs are met.

Using the club's operational platforms, including Raven, Accreditation and Workday, you will be able to support stewards with settling in to the role and ensure they have a good understanding of how to use the systems effectively.

You will work matchdays and events as required, providing on-site support during events and ensuring all operational aspects are managed effectively with any issues addressed promptly and appropriately.

Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing the submission of workbooks from Level 2 and Level 3 Spectator Safety learners as well as delivering Basic First and First Aid at Work training to relevant staff members.

• Organisational & Planning Skills – ability to coordinate staffing, schedules, and resources across multiple providers and platforms
• Communication & Stakeholder Management – clear, professional communication with internal teams, agencies, and external providers.
• Operational Systems Competence – working knowledge of platforms such as Raven, Accreditation systems, and Workday (or similar).
• Problem-Solving & Decision-Making – ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively during live events.
• Training & Coaching Skills – ability to deliver first aid training and support learners with Spectator Safety qualifications.
