The Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit is a high-acuity cardiac surgical unit focused on fostering continuous learning while developing high level critical thinking and technical skills. The unit supports a culture of engagement and professional growth by encouraging participation in unit/organizational committees, councils, and other professional organizations. Teamwork, accountability, and collaboration are common practice expectations.  Peer to peer relationships are developed by working side by side to provide an exceptional experience for our patients and their loved ones.

Scope of work 

Performs receptionist/secretarial duties and maintains confidential records, supplies and equipment per hospital and unit specific standards. Greets and directs guests on the unit in a manner that reflects a welcoming environment. Performs computer entry, schedules tests/procedures, processes orders, and performs other related activities per unit/hospital standard within a reasonable time frame.

Core Block Schedule

This job is 2 shifts bi-weekly and has a set schedule for a 6 week timeblock:

  • Fri Sat
  • Mon Tues
  • Sun Mon
  • Fri Sat
  • Mon Tues
  • Sun Mon

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent

2 years of related experience preferred
