Network Engineer - Flutter Group, Hybrid & Remote
Role purpose:
Flutter Technology is recruiting a network architect to help design and deliver our strategic group platforms. We have an immediate requirement for an SME to join the Office Experience (OEX) team, where the focus is on the strategic development of our group office experience initiative. The successful candidate will be instrumental in crafting and deploying connectivity solutions for our global offices, playing a vital role in the international rollout of the program across various locations.
This role presents an extraordinary chance to influence Flutter's technological trajectory, collaborating with all brand divisions within the group to revolutionize their office experience.
The right candidate will have experience working with enterprise organisations on large-scale office transformation projects, displaying a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, coupled with a strong technical understanding to provide confidence and answer questions. An ability to engage and help crystallise business benefits of migrations, demonstrate a deep understanding of Network solutions, and a passion for delivering quality.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design of Office LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure, including comms rooms, ensuring architectural integrity and alignment with business goals.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of High-Level Designs (HLDs) and Low-Level Designs (LLDs) for Flutter Group’s Office Network Infrastructure, collaborating with external partners where required.
- Support architecture and function leads with developing the Office experience roadmap and programme timelines.
- Contribute to the build and operation of secure, performant, and cost-effective Office LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi Infrastructure
- Act as a trusted SME offering advice and knowledge sharing to the broader technology team and internal customers.
- Create and drive adoption of standard operating procedures, policies, and runbooks.
- Facilitate the development and communication of Flutter Group standards for design, development, and deployment.
- Liaise with other group functions, building and maintaining relationships, and recognising opportunities for strategic collaboration.
- Liaise with Third Party vendors and partners.
- Enable and support engineering teams with the adoption of Office technology.
- Write and maintain appropriate technical documentation.
- Facilitate the development and communication of Flutter Group standards for design, development, and deployment.

Experience:
- Possess extensive experience in the design, deployment, and maintenance of office infrastructure, with a strong focus on LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi networks. Expertise includes the utilization of industry-leading technologies such as Meraki, Palo Alto, Cisco, and Aruba solutions, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Experience of Wireless and Network Access Control, Network Security and Web Content Filtering.
- Demonstrated track record in delivering robust systems within security-compliant environments, adhering to stringent standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or industry-specific frameworks to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
- Skilled in authoring and updating comprehensive technical documentation, from system design specifications to user guides, which support both the infrastructure and the end-users, thereby contributing to the system’s longevity and ease of use.
- Commitment to fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, actively engaging with peers and the broader engineering community to disseminate insights, best practices, and innovative solutions that enhance team capabilities and service excellence.
- Proficient in working within agile frameworks, embracing principles of iterative development, continuous integration, and collaborative cross-functional teamwork to accelerate delivery and respond optimally to changing requirements.
- Experience in building and managing networking infrastructure in high-availability environments, ensuring maximum uptime and seamless failover capabilities for critical business operations.
