The Sr. Software Engineering and Verification Manager - Zentra is a key leadership role in leading the delivery of the software development lifecycle across the Zentra product line at Allegion. This management position leads a team of Software Verification and Platform Engineers that support the Global Software Solutions Zentra product line.

What you will do 

  • Lead, mentor, and manage our platform and software verification teams supporting the Zentra product line, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. 

  • Set clear goals and expectations, conduct performance reviews, and provide regular feedback to team members. 

  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment that encourages creativity, innovation, and high performance. 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive platform software engineering strategy aligned with the company’s overall business objectives. 

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of platform software projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. 

  • Develop and implement the overall software testing strategy with a focus on strengthening test automation. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, software development, and quality assurance, to define project requirements and deliverables. 

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to ensure successful collaboration and delivery of mobile and platform solutions. 

  • Drive the adoption of best practices in platform software development, including code quality, testing, and performance optimization. 

  • Conduct regular code reviews and provide technical guidance to the engineering team. 

  • Encourage a culture of innovation by promoting the exploration of new technologies, tools, and methodologies. 

  • Manage, develop, and grow the core software verification team responsible for the quality of software products. 

  • Oversee the design and execution of test scripts and frameworks to validate software functionality, performance, and reliability. 

  • Identify opportunities for test automation and drive the adoption of automation tools and frameworks to streamline the testing process. 

  • Ensure the platform solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable, with a focus on delivering exceptional performance and reliability. 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure the company remains at the forefront of platform development. 

  • Ensure compliance with SOC2 and other relevant security standards. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for platform software engineering, communicating project status, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and other stakeholders. 

  • Establish and provide regular reports and updates on testing progress, key metrics, and product quality to stakeholders and senior management. 

What You Need to Succeed: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on platform development and software verification. 

  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership or management role, including experience leading global engineering teams. 

  • Strong technical expertise in Test Automation Frameworks and platform development technologies ( e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, microservices architecture, Cyprus, Pytest, Python..) 

  • Excellent understanding of mobile architecture, design patterns, and best practices. 

  • Experience with Azure and AWS security procedures and improvements. 

  • Experience with delivering quality high-availability cloud software platforms, web solutions, and mobile applications. 

  • Capable of diving into the automation code for reviews. 

  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. 

  • Experience managing software verification leaders and managers. 

  • Proven record of coaching Quality Engineering Managers through difficult situations. 

  • Focused on developing your team by leading with a servant leader approach. 

  • Demonstrable ability to learn and adapt to new and continually evolving technologies, processes, customer needs, and business requirements. 

  • Experience working with software, firmware, hardware, product, project management, etc. 

  • Experience leading global engineering teams and managing offshore teams, preferably in India. 

  • Experience coordinating meetings with individuals in multiple time zones. 

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex platform solutions on time and within budget.

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: $123,700 - $218,700. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
  • Bonus Eligible: Yes
