We are hiring multiple Project Managers to support Digital Services strategic priority projects throughout 2025. These projects will range from 6 months long to up to 12-18 months long. These are temporary positions that will run until Dec 2025 with a high probability of extension.

Job Summary

Under general direction, oversees multiple small to mid-sized, medium-complexity projects. Responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project life cycle. Responsible for assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedule to ensure timely completion of project. To effectively coordinate the activities of the team, must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member. Competent to work on most phases of project management, but at times may require guidance from more experience team members.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees multiple small to mid-sized medium complexity projects with appropriate departmental and leadership relationship management and project management.
  • Responsible for all aspects of a project over its entire life cycle: Develops project plans, budgets, and schedules. Coordinates project work and completes projects on time and within budget. Works with the constituent Project Managers/workgroup leads/Business Analysts responsible for the execution of their areas of a project to monitor cost, schedule and technical performance of component project and operation, while working to ensure the ultimate success of the projects.
  • Assesses resource requirements for a project and negotiates for resources with management to meet project plan deliverables. Organizes and works with appropriate leadership, departments, and leaders to plan and schedule the coordination of people and tasks as needed to accomplish project objectives. Able to coordinate activities of numerous, diverse areas simultaneously.
  • Serves as a liaison for projects between various departments within Spectrum Health. Communicates, collaborates, networks with and acts as a consultant to stakeholders/business partners to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources.
  • Analyzes and documents processes, procedures, and outcomes to seek continuous improvement.
  • Adheres to the Corewell Health Project Management methodology and quality standards. Acts as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management and the Corewell Project Management methodology and toolset.

Qualifications

Required

  • Associate's Degree /Technical school or equivalent
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required for Senior level
  • 3 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Experience leading projects or gathering business requirements

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • 5 years of relevant experience in the field
  • Experience working on clinical projects, preferably with Epic systems
  • Experience managing small to medium project teams (2 to 7+) within a matrix organization, and projects in multiple technologies and/or business functions
  • CRT - Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI Project Management Institute
