The Role and Impact
Intel is seeking a System Software Architect to lead the development of cutting-edge system software that powers transformative technologies, platforms, and products. Key Responsibilities
- Define end-to-end system software architecture, including software structure, firmware, drivers, frameworks, cross-component interfaces, and interoperability protocols.
- Provide technical direction and pathfinding for software development and validation.
- Collaborate with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver innovative solutions that meet their needs.
- Interact with technologists across Intel and the broader industry to assess technical feasibility and ensure alignment with market trends.
- Translate complex technical requirements into actionable development priorities and architectural designs.
- Deliver high-level software design and architecture inputs to support Intel's product goals.
- Solve critical customer problems by driving technical solutions and ensuring successful implementation.
The candidate should exhibit the following Skills/behavioral traits:

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
4 or more years of experience with system software architecture and development including:
- Demonstrated expertise in software interoperability, cross-component protocols, and interfaces.
- Proficiency in frameworks, drivers, and firmware development.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Experience in customer-facing technical engagements, requirement gathering, and solution development.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $149,600.00-284,580.00 USD
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Work Model for this Role
