Johnson and Johnson is recruiting a Senior Manager Procurement, IT Software Procurement located in Titusville, NJ, Raritan, NJ, New Brunswick, NJ, or Tampa, FL or Bogota, Columbia.

This role will be accountable for building robust and relevant category strategies that are strongly aligned to the business needs and market dynamics. This individual will also serve as global Supplier Relationship manager to some strategic suppliers and ensure maximum value and innovation from those partnerships.  The role works directly with the business, J&J technology team, key suppliers, Global Services and the broader Procurement function. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the JJ Technology priorities and devise category strategies that advance those priorities.

  • Create Tech stacks with key Technology leaders to drive alignment on existing and upcoming technology priorities across the enterprise

  • Drive alignment between software sourcing strategy and IT architecture roadmaps, including cloud and hyperscaler strategies

  • Collaborate with business leaders and Service Delivery team to ensure Procurement strategies meet the business needs, and are adopted within the business

  • Identify industry trends that Procurement must incorporate in its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the business

  • Partner with the Category and Service Delivery teams and lead strategic sourcing events, negotiations and contract lifecycle management

  • Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with key software suppliers

  • Identify and deliver cost optimization and value creation opportunities

  • Deliver against savings, innovation and other performance targets for the organization in the role’s area of responsibility and ensure target achievement

Qualifications

Education:

  • A Bachelors Degree is required, and an MBA or other advanced degree is desirable.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum 12 -15 years related experience is required (preferably in Software Procurement, Business Operations or Supply Chain)

  • Influencing skills - Able to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal

  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the executive level, as well as with peers

  • Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, legal, finance, and business teams

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to expertly present complex information to executives

  • Broad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus including spend management, source-to-pay.

  • Understanding of legal terms, compliance, and risk management in contracts

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work with data, digital tools and technology to drive insights, business value and process efficiency

  • Strong project and change management capabilities

  • Proven learning agility, improving both yourself and the people around you

  • Ability to effectively deliver against Goals and Objectives while also balancing  shared roles and responsibilities with other team members

Preferred:

  • Preferred experience in Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Medical Technology sectors

  • Past experience in managing IT procurement across Lifesciences, Pharmaceuticals

  • High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community, based on broad experience

  • Track record in participating and leading cross-functional teams

  • Flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment

  • Exposure to AI‑enabled software, data platforms, or digital transformation initiatives.
