Responsible for identifying process improvement opportunities; documenting drivers and processes into action plans; presenting strategic rationale for operation performance improvement plans to Senior Operating Leadership; participate in the implementation of developed action plans; oversee the tracking of results and communication of results to operations and corporate management; actively provide effective data analysis in an efficient manner.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Work with Analyst team to identify profit improvement opportunities through data analysis
  • Create and conduct Management surveys to identify opportunities
  • Identify internal and external key metrics that would drive operational improvement
  • Utilize drivers and processes to develop operational improvement plan
  • Present operational improvement plans to Senior Operational Leadership for feedback
  • Gain performance improvement plan ‘buy in’ from Operational Leadership
  • Define objectives and explain broader context of data analysis projects
  • Recommend conclusions and support decision making
  • Work with Operational Leadership to identify and support goals
  • Participate and support implementation of action plans
  • Track and communicate project results
  • Monitor data analysis progress and appraise results
  • Conduct annual reviews
  • Develop strong relationships with SCI Corporate teams as a gateway to additional opportunities

MINIMUM Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

Experience

  • Five (5) years of accounting/financial analysis experience or equivalent experience in a related field
  • One (1) year management experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables
  • Strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills
  • Advanced understanding of financial statements and business drivers
  • Ability to think strategically about business issues
  • Communication and team building skills to successfully involve other corporate departments and business units in data gathering efforts

  • Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
