Job Summary:
This is a future opportunity that may require travel between locations in Oregon and Montana depending on project needs. We are looking for multiple experienced Heavy Equipment Operators with a proven ability to work alongside crew members in a high-pressure environment while maintaining project quality to help build telecommunications networks. You’re a team player who ensures the well-being of others and lends a hand where needed. This position provides opportunity for a diverse career path and longevity with an industry leading Telecommunications company.Essential Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate various types of heavy equipment (Hydrovac truck, Horizontal Directional Drill, skid steer, backhoe, mini-excavator, etc.)
Provide light maintenance and routine service to equipment
Operates equipment, hand tools and lifts heavy items (up to 50 pounds)
Reads underground utility locates and ensures safe digging practices are always being adhered to
Maintains a healthy and safe work environment for the crew, the public, the customer, and Ledcor
Works as a part of an overhead telecom line crew and assists with restoring job sites back to their original state
Qualifications:
Active CDL A with air brakes endorsement is preferred
2+ years of experience in Heavy Equipment operation
Must successfully complete a criminal background check, pre-access drug and alcohol screenings
Experience with safely operating a variety of large and small power equipment, light vehicles and properly tow/back-up trailers
Work Conditions:
Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, lifting (up to 50 pounds), working at heights, and in all types of weather conditions (rain, snow, heat etc.)
