About The Position

Old Mission is currently hiring a municipal bond trader to join its growing FICC desk. The ideal candidate will be an experienced risk taker with experience trading municipal bonds and/or credit ETF trading. Credit research experience will be valuable in this role. 

Responsibilities: 

  • The trader’s responsibilities will include trading and researching new opportunities in municipal bonds and/or ETFs in a relative value framework.

Required Skills: 

  • A successful track record in a principal trading capacity trading municipal bonds and/or credit ETFs.
  • Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree preferably in engineering, statistics, mathematics or a hard science or economics.
  • Candidates need to have mathematical OR computer programming skills (Must be proficient in Python, Excel, VBA, or R).
  • Superior communication, both written and verbal, and has the ability to handle multiple tasks in a time sensitive, fast paced, collaborative, collegial environment
  • Credit research experience is a plus but not required.
