A Day in the Life

We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial & Sales Enablement Specialist to support the growth of the capital equipment business through strong project management, process improvement, and AI-enabled sales transformation. This role will help improve commercial efficiency, accelerate pipeline execution, and equip sales teams with tools and insights that increase productivity and customer impact. Working at the intersection of sales, commercial operations, project management, and digital innovation, the successful candidate will coordinate cross-functional initiatives across the ACEE region, manage milestones and risks, and support execution in complex sales environments. The role will also contribute to the commercialization of the Hugo RAS platform, with a primary focus on the EMEA region and selected global projects.

A key focus of the role is Commercial and OTC readiness to support Medtronic’s ambition to expand the Hugo RAS footprint globally, ensuring end-to-end processes are in place for the sale, installation, and support of systems in new countries. The position also includes regional and global program management responsibilities, supporting improvement initiatives, change management, and other commercial projects. Reporting to the Global Director Commercial Enablement, the successful candidate must be able to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include preparing project plans and timelines, tracking budgets and risks, maintaining dashboards and documentation, coordinating meetings, and following up on action items

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Leading commercial enablement projects to open new markets for robotic technologies
  • Enable commercial operations for capital equipment portfolios across the full sales lifecycle
  • Analyze and optimize commercial processes to improve efficiency and reduce sales cycle time
  • Lead regional project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and stakeholder alignment for commercial enablement initiatives
  • Design and deploy AI-driven sales tools to enhance pipeline prioritization and decision-making
  • Develop sales enablement frameworks, playbooks, and training for capital selling environments
  • Leverage CRM (Customer Relationship Management) data to generate insights and track performance
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between Sales, Marketing, Service, and Digital teams
  • Ensure structured execution governance, regular progress tracking, and clear communication of project status, risks, and outcomes

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in commercial operations, sales enablement, or capital equipment sales
  • 5+ years of project management or engineering experience, with proven ability to lead complex regional projects from planning through execution
  • Strong experience in risk management, stakeholder coordination, project planning, scheduling, and execution across cross-functional teams
  • Proven track record of improving commercial processes and supporting go-to-market execution in complex sales environments
  • Experience with CRM systems, data analytics, and project management tools, including Microsoft Project
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken); another local language will be a plus
  • Exposure to AI-driven sales tools, digital transformation initiatives, and process mapping or value stream mapping
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders and support business, sales operations, and new product development processes
