About the role

As a Senior Web Developer, you will join a distributed team that builds the web presence of Gen brands – focused on cyber security and theft protection products. You'll be responsible to ship high-quality web software in fast-paced agile environment. In this role you will deliver front-end code (HTML /CSS /JS) to support one or multiple website projects with a focus on SEO.

What You Will Do in This Role

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, quality assurance engineers, and product managers across different time zones to ensure our brand websites adhere to SEO standards.
  • Develop and implement a well-designed SEO strategy and optimize site performance, providing solutions for improvement.
  • Analyse website performance, identify deficiencies, and pinpoint bugs in the current implementation.
  • Participate in technical design sessions and assess and document the pros and cons of various approaches.
  • Participate actively in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, development design, grooming sessions, retrospectives, and demos.
  • Engage in peer code design, review, and testing to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Demonstrate strong debugging and problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of a team.
  • Design, build, and maintain complex, reusable, and high-performance front-end components and applications.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure code quality and consistency.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and back-end engineers to deliver user-centric features.
  • Utilize AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT)
  • Stay current with evolving front-end technologies, frameworks, and AI-assisted development practices.

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role

  • 5+ years of industry experience in developing web software solutions using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, NPM, Webpack
  • Champion front-end best practices (performance optimization, accessibility, security, responsiveness).
  • in HTML5, CSS3, AJAX, JavaScript ES6, CSS pre-processors, front-end unit testing, AD, VSC tool (preferable Git).
  • Solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, and front-end integration patterns.
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities for guiding developer teams.
  • Comfortable with standards-compliance and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience in teamwork and code reviews.
  • Experience in evaluating and optimizing web page performance to align with Google Core Web Vitals standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with documenting and creating flow charts to explain complex technical solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to use AI-powered developer tools for code generation, optimization, automated testing, and documentation.
     

Optional Technical Skills:

  • Experience with (or willingness to learn) backend technologies and frameworks (e.g., Java, Node.js, Django, Ruby on Rails) is a plus.
  • Experience with CMS tools like HubSpot, Adobe AEM or any modern CMS is a strong plus. 
  • Experience with E-commerce websites is a strong plus

Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
