Group Marketing is responsible for driving CommBank’s brand and reputation in our chosen markets, and working closely with the businesses to deliver strong growth and exceptional customer experience. As an integral part of Group Marketing, the Business Marketing team’s role is to deliver strategy and communication across our business customer segments, channels and lines of business.  The Events team deliver exceptional customer engagement programs to:

  • Position the Business Bank and Institutional Bank as thought leaders

  • Elevate key insights to help customers navigate major macro forces, and

  • Drive a positive brand experience and best position CBA’s Institutional Banking & Markets and Business Banking divisions.

You will work closely with our stakeholders, partnerships and marketing colleagues to deliver a broad spectrum of programs and experiences for our customers. The culture is built on energy, pace, curiosity, care and commitment.

Your responsibilities:

  • Develop program concepts and deliver end to end event management on a wide variety of strategic programs that support growth objectives and business goals.

  • Support the development of new and existing business partnerships and execute on a variety of third-party partnership events to maximize and leverage of new and existing relationships benefits.

  • Build and manage project plans and lead small to medium sized working groups to ensure the delivery of programs of work to deadline and the highest quality.

  • Proactively manage and foster strong relationships to effectively influence complex senior stakeholders groups and deliver successful partnership and event programs.

  • Steer enhancements to key event technology platforms to improve data management, integration and manage risk and compliance.

  • Identify and implement improvements (process, value for money, contract negotiations etc.) to drive greater efficiencies and effectiveness for event team.

  • Supplier governance - work in conjunction with compliance, procurement and event team members to manage interactions with suppliers & maximise relationship.

  • Develop, maintain, and improve relationships with agencies and external suppliers.

Your skills & experience:

  • Extensive experience delivering end to end programs and event management within B2B financial or professional services.

  • Creative and visionary thinker, who has a passion for customer experience.

  • Strong communicator with an eye for connecting event programs with broader marketing and content opportunities.

  • Strong project management skills and ability to build project plans to deliver to timing, objectives and budget.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and with the ability to influence and drive results

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively to achieve an outcome.

  • Capability to manage supplier and third party relationships.

  • Knowledge in Event Management methodologies, IP and tools.

  • Experience working with event and creative agencies.
