Join us as a Manager, Software Delivery as we expand our operations into Bengaluru.

As a Delivery Software Manager at EquiLend, you will play a critical role in setting up, scaling, and managing technology teams working across our Trading, Post Trade, RegTech, and Data products. This leadership position combines technical expertise, operational oversight, and strategic vision to ensure high-quality delivery of our product suite. You will primarily lead a large team of Software Developers (Java) and QA Engineers, as well as other key technology positions to ensure on time delivery of our software projects.

 Role Responsibilities 

  • Establishing and leading teams comprising developers, QA specialists, DevOps engineers, and support personnel, ensuring high engagement, strong performance, and team cohesion.
  • Driving recruitment efforts to build a team of technical professionals in India across a range of disciplines, identifying top talent across technical and operational roles.
  • Owning the delivery of Trading, Post Trade, RegTech, and Data products from India, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines, quality standards, and organizational objectives.
  • Acting as the key liaison between India-based teams and global functional managers to facilitate alignment and smooth communication across locations.
  • Leading high-level design reviews and participating in architectural discussions, contributing technical expertise to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
  • Managing production escalations by addressing and resolving technical challenges to maintain smooth operations.
  • An unwavering focus on uptime, pro-active response, and dedication to fixing the root cause of issues encountered to find scalable solutions wherever possible.
  • Evaluating and refining delivery processes to enhance efficiency, drive innovation, and support continuous improvement.
  • Mentoring and developing team leads and individual contributors, fostering a culture of accountability, professional growth, and excellence.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align delivery objectives with strategic business goals.
  • Ensuring optimal resource allocation, monitoring team productivity, and maintaining operational efficiency while balancing budgetary and strategic requirements. 

Required Skills 

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant commercial experience, including a strong foundation in software development and technical delivery management.
  • Expertise in Java development, with hands-on experience in high-level design and the ability to provide meaningful guidance in technical discussions.
  • A proven record of managing offshore delivery and ensuring that distributed teams deliver high-quality outputs on time.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire, mentor, and effectively manage diverse teams in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage confidently with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to navigate challenges, resolve escalations, and make data-driven decisions under pressure.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and resilience, thriving in dynamic and fast-paced environments while maintaining focus on evolving priorities.
  • Strategic thinking abilities, with the capacity to align team efforts with broader organizational goals and to champion innovation.
  • Familiarity with financial services, FinTech, or related industries, with experience in areas such as Trading, Post Trade, RegTech, or Data products.
