Position Overview / Description

As an Associate Software Engineer in Test (SET) Architect, you’ll be provided with the opportunity to influence, and take ownership of, Strategic Test Frameworks and projects.  You will be provided with support, coaching and mentoring from SET Architecture enabling yourself and the Team to grow in a collaborative environment. 

We want you to take the lead on design and development activities associated with these frameworks while providing support to Engineering Teams.  As part of a dynamic and exciting development center, you’ll work with a variety of tools and technologies, whilst utilizing state-of-the-art software development techniques in a Continuous Delivery environment.

Position Responsibilities

• Offering technical leadership in test frameworks, test automation, and test methodologies within a supportive environment

• Building and maintaining automated test solutions, while leveraging and innovating using the latest progressive testing and environment toolset options

• Analyzing and devising solutions for test automation requirements and test cases, monitoring and analyzing test results, collecting test metrics, and producing test reports.

• Influencing the opinions for 'building in' testability during all phases of the SDLC with emphasis on the design and development phases through continued collaboration with stakeholders

• Engage with Development Architects, Product Architects, Engineering, Release Engineering Teams and other key stakeholders to enable product development resources to provide greater test coverage whilst delivering products at quality and velocity

• Developing test solutions to support all aspects of Test Engineering including but not limited to static/dynamic analysis, unit, component, acceptance, integration and non-functional testing capabilities for our products and services

• Identifying tooling and process improvements while working with SET Architecture and Engineering Teams to better define standards and set best practice

Required Skills

• BSc or MSc or equivalent in Computer Science (or related field) OR equivalent work experience

• Passion for Software Testing and developing high quality solid test solutions

• Well-founded understanding of Testing Methodologies and Test Techniques

• Ability to understand the requirements for designing and delivering robust and scalable test frameworks

• Experience with Design Patterns, Refactoring, OO Design and related areas

• Excellent written, oral communication and organizational skills required

• A proven ability to work independently on diverse problems with excellent analytical and problem solving skills
