State Street’s Global Product organisation is leading an exciting period of transformation for the business  and is recruiting for a Product Manager to join the team in EMEA and help take the business forward.

This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

Why this role is important to us

As a Depositary & Trustee Product Manager, you are responsible for the delivery of the Depositary & Trustee Product . You will maintain and evolve the product definition, engage with the nine depositary locations and the Poland CoE and lead product enhancement efforts alongside the Product Development Manager. You will contribute to the execution of the Depositary & Trustee strategy, and commercial growth and business development efforts in particular being Program Manager for the multi-year Depositary Transformation program.

The role requires deep knowledge of Depositary & Trustee with a focus on the EMEA region, and collaboration with internal stakeholders across  the CCO Depositary team as well as, on occasions, Global Delivery, Sales & Client Management, and GTS. The role reports to Product Head of Depositary & Trustee EMEA and interacts closely with the SSBI Head of Depo and country depositary leads.

What you will be responsible for

As Depositary & Trustee Product Manager you will

• Look after Depositary Transformation, as program manager / project manager
• Work closely with the Product Head of Depositary & Trustee EMEA and Depositary ProdDev Manager to develop and execute the Depositary & Trustee product strategy.
• Work with the Depositary CCO teams to manage operating costs, drive process improvements and improve cost to serve.
• Be responsible for Depositary & Trustee EMEA management information including budgeting, P&L, assets under depositary and number of funds vs FTE
• Domain expertise in the day to day running of the business .
• Price of depositary product and coordination of multi-jurisdiction RFPs
• Partner with the Chief Commercial Officer organisation (sales) to drive revenue through direct client engagement, pitches and providing commercial propositions for new Depositary & Trustee deals and rebids.
• Maintain up to date knowledge on regulatory change impacting depositaries; coordinate participation in industry groups and regulatory discussions across the region to drive market leadership, consistency, and change.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Subject matter expertise of the Depositary & Trustee family of products
• Track record of engagement translating requirements into feature function capability for State Street platforms.
• Working knowledge of technology, market infrastructures and industry partners that support the  Depositary & Trustee chain.
• Understanding of the operational processes across Depositary & Trustee
• 7+ years’ experience in Securities Services/  Depositary & Trustee.
• Prior experience working in Operations, technology or project / program management.
• Prior experience of successfully performing project / program management, product manager, product development or operation leadership roles beneficial
