Job Summary:**

The Associate Director, HR SBP/ER will serve as a strategic HR business partner, providing expert guidance and support to leaders and employees within Lilly (Shanghai). This role will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business objectives, fostering a positive employee relations environment, and ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies.

Job Responsibilities:**

* Act as a strategic HR business partner to assigned business units, understanding their needs and translating them into effective HR solutions.
* Provide expert consultation and support to managers and employees on a wide range of HR matters, including performance management, talent development, compensation, and employee relations.
* Lead and manage complex employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent application of policies and procedures.
* Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that support employee relations, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and corporate guidelines.
* Collaborate with other HR functions (e.g., Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development) to deliver integrated HR solutions.
* Support organizational change initiatives, including restructurings, mergers, and acquisitions, by providing HR expertise and guidance.
* Analyze HR metrics and data to identify trends, measure the effectiveness of HR programs, and provide data-driven recommendations to leadership.
* Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by promoting open communication, respect, and diversity.
* Stay current with best practices in HR, employment law, and industry trends, continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.


Job Qualifications:**

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a strategic HR Business Partner or Employee Relations focused role within a multinational company.
* Proven expertise in managing complex employee relations issues, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes.
* Strong knowledge of Chinese labor laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (verbal and written).
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
