Senior Manager, Software Development Engineering (FinTech)

The FinTech team within Global Finance Technology is looking for an experienced Senior Manager to help empower Finance by building fully automated solutions. Are you looking for new and exciting challenges?  Use your technical skill and management expertise to help build and drive the FinTech team as they tackle new solutions and build automation for all Finance functions.

What you'll do:

• Lead an efficient team of developers, in implementing high-quality engineering solutions, to support the FinTech automation efforts across Finance teams
• Collaborate closely with Senior Management to identify potential areas of improvements, as well as propose and implement effective engineering solutions
• Provide planning support for FinTech road map and continuously be an advocate for new technology and solutions
• Establish tools and techniques to supervise project progress
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to team members, as well as incorporate best practices and methodologies
• Guide employees in the development of individual goals, provide regular and specific feedback, and assess performance

Who you are:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent
• 10+ years of proven work experience in the field of Software Engineering and at least 5+ years in technical leadership
• Extensive experience with Python and SQL
• Deep understanding of relational databases, including MSSQL, Oracle, Teradata
• Strong hands-on experience with Starburst / Trino or similar data query engines
• Experience with cloud-based data infrastructure on AWS
• Familiar with high volume transactional systems, microservice design, continuous delivery, automated deployments, and related engineering practices.
• Experience in delivering automated solutions that improve platform health, security, cost-efficiency, alerting and monitoring.
• Understands when and how to reward and recognize team members

Good to haves:

• Experience with reporting tools such as Tableau or Looker
• Experience with VBA for automating tasks and processes
• Familiarity with ServiceNow for IT service management
• Experience with JIRA for project management and issue tracking
• Knowledge of version control systems like GitHub
• Experience with RPA tools such as UiPath
• Familiarity with data transformation tools like Alteryx
• Experience with JupyterHub for collaborative data science
• Knowledge of workflow orchestration tools like Airflow
