We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Intern to join our team and help primarily manage the recruitment process for the upcoming Great Lakes Trainee Program along with other HR projects. This is a part-time position, requiring approximately 15-20 hours per week, perfect for a current student looking to gain hands-on experience in the HR field. The ideal candidate will be available to start in November, with the internship concluding in April. Please note, there will be a two-week break for the holiday season.
Key Responsibilities:
Candidate Sourcing & Screening: Assist with the initial review of applications, screen resumes, and help identify top candidates for the program.
Interview Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule interviews between candidates and hiring managers using Google Calendar, managing calendars and sending out confirmations.
Recruitment Management: Maintain and update our applicant tracking system (ATS) with candidate information and progress.
Communication: Serve as a point of contact for candidates, answering questions and providing timely updates on their application status using Gmail.
Offer Process Support: Help prepare and send offer letters and other new-hire documentation using Google Docs and Google Drive.
Recruitment Events: Assist in the planning and execution of recruitment events, such as career fairs or information sessions. You'll also have the opportunity to attend career fairs if your schedule allows.
HR Projects: Participate in other minor HR projects as assigned, providing you with a chance to gain broader experience across the department.
Required Qualifications
You are currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
You have excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.
You are a clear and confident communicator, both in writing and in person.
You are proficient with Google's suite of products, including Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Gmail.
You are proactive, can manage multiple tasks at once, and are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
