About our Team
The Business Project Management Office (BPMO) provides advanced project management leadership and advisory services to the company’s most complex initiatives, ensuring successful execution. We provide rigorous project management practice, service, and deliverables for prioritized engagements and projects aligned with the critical needs of the business and external customers.
About the Role
The Business Program Manager manages key client programs and projects. Overseeing a portfolio of complex projects and programs concurrently for key customer accounts. This may involve multiple Project Managers, cross-functional teams, and several enterprise projects.
Responsibilities
Cultivating and sustain robust working relationships and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and customers across divisions, potentially including external customers, to enhance program effectiveness and influence.
Handling client-facing strategic initiatives and high-impact implementations, leveraging strong communication skills, stakeholder engagement techniques, and project management principles. Maintain flexibility as priorities shift; demonstrate ability to adapt.
Exhibiting strategic thinking by providing insights related to the customer and insurance industry that align with the critical needs of the business vertical. Promote a customer-centric, quality-oriented culture while driving measurable business results and improvements. Able to communicate and champion new ideas and challenge the status quo.
Providing executive-level reporting on status, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to senior leadership, stakeholders, steering committees, etc., with appropriate escalation as needed.
Working closely with the Sales team and subject matter experts from Product and Vertical organizations to curate materials, align messaging, and effectively deliver business reviews and other presentations to customer senior leadership.
Demonstrating proficiency in all aspects of the Project Management Body of Knowledge, including identifying, analyzing, tracking, and monitoring. Have experience using Project Management tools and meet quality standards regarding the use of project artifacts and templates.
Managing all relationships necessary to lead a successful project team, including influence without authority. Hold team members accountable. Foster a culture of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEI&B) within the team and the broader organization.
Requirements
Minimum 10+ years business-focused project/program management experience Required.
Client-facing and/or consulting experience required.
PM certification required: PMI certification preferred. Agile Certification (CSM or PMI-ACP) preferred. Enterprise Change Management certifications preferred.
Insurance industry experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across a highly matrixed organization, interacting, influencing, negotiating effectively with all levels of leadership and peers.
Successfully demonstrate leadership experience in a fast-paced environment, with frequent and substantial priority changes, challenging timelines and major resource constraints.
Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
Travel 1-3 times per year expected.
Able to communicate effectively with key stakeholders.
Experience with Delivery/Collaboration Tools (Adaptive Work, JIRA, TEAMs, SharePoint)
