We are seeking a talented individual to join ourTransformation team at Marsh. This is a Sydney or Melbourne based role. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Process Excellence Expert
As a Process Excellence Expert at Marsh, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement across the organization. You will lead and facilitate process improvement initiatives, to optimize business processes, reduce costs, and enhance client satisfaction.
You will be responsible for conducting current state assessment in terms of processes, systems, roles & responsibilities and organizational structures and develop solutions to address them.
This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, automation, and transformation aligned with Marsh’s strategic objectives. You will leverage business analysis skills, change management, project management skills and continuous improvement mindset in order to be successful.
We will count on you to:
- Lead and facilitate continuous improvement projects/workshops to diagnose and enhance end-to-end business processes.
- Conduct current state assessments of processes, systems, roles, and organizational structures to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with client-facing leaders, brokers, and cross-functional teams to map processes, analyze data, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Develop and execute high-impact projects with measurable financial and operational benefits, applying project management fundamentals including scope definition, planning, and resource management.
- Create business cases and track benefits realization aligned with program objectives.
- Conduct gap assessments against Marsh’s Target Operating Model (TOM) and align stakeholders on transformation roadmaps.
- Coach and mentor team members and operating teams on continuous improvements tools/techniques.
- Drive operational excellence through business process mapping, reporting, dashboarding, and visual management of key performance metrics.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly to senior leadership, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and business units to ensure clear understanding and implementation of business requirements.
What you need to have:
- Minimum 12 years of professional experience, including 5-7 years in continuous improvement, transformation, or operational excellence roles.
- Strong expertise in process improvement methodologies and tools.
- Proven experience leading process improvement initiatives in complex organizations.
- Proficiency in process mapping, gap analysis, quantitative techniques, and problem-solving tools
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse global teams.
- Experience in organizational design, operational efficiency, and cost management principles.
- Familiarity with change management principles and ability to influence organizational change.
- Executive presence with the ability to present confidently to senior leadership.
- Strong business analysis, organisational design, and process improvement experience
- Strong documentation, presentation, and negotiation skills

- Lean Six Sigma certifications or relevant practical experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or other relevant business certifications.
- Experience working in insurance brokerage or professional services environments.
- Experience in large-scale program delivery or transformations
- Experience working in large and complex organizations working with diverse stakeholders
- Familiarity with Centre of Excellence (COE) frameworks and best practices
- Knowledge of change management principles and practices
