Operational Resilience Manager – Security & Health & Safety

Location: London (Onsite, 5 Days a Week)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Operational Resilience Manager with expertise in Health & Safety, Security Compliance, and Risk Management to oversee security services for one of our leading clients in the financial sector in the UK & Jersey. Reporting to the Head of Safety & Security, this role ensures full compliance with the client's safety and security policies, standards, and procedures. The position involves direct management of security and H&S compliance, risk monitoring, operational resilience strategy execution, and emergency response planning.

Key Responsibilities

Security Responsibilities

  • Security Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to SCB’s security policies, risk tolerance levels, and access control measures.
  • Security Systems Oversight: Manage ACS, CCTV, alarms, LCR, and PPMs, ensuring technical compliance and maintenance.
  • Incident Management & Response: Lead emergency response plans, investigate incidents, and implement corrective measures.
  • Team Leadership & Training: Mentor security teams and drive a strong security culture through continuous training.
  • Crisis Management & Communication: Assist in crisis planning, liaise with law enforcement and external agencies.
  • Budget & Project Management: Ensure cost-effective security solutions and on-time project delivery.

Health & Safety & Wellbeing (HSW) Responsibilities

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Provide specialist H&S guidance, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Risk Monitoring & Compliance: Develop and maintain a regulatory register, monitor risks, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop HSW strategies, action plans, and audit readiness programs. Lead compliance assurance and policy implementation.
  • Incident & Crisis Management: Investigate accidents, incidents, and regulatory breaches. Support crisis management teams during emergencies.
  • Contractor & Vendor Oversight: Ensure supply partners comply with H&S standards and manage permit-to-work processes.
  • Safety Culture & Training: Promote safety awareness, lead training initiatives, and mentor country HSW staff.
  • Fire Safety & First Aid: Develop fire evacuation plans, risk assessments, and ensure proper coverage of first aiders and mental health first aid networks.
  • Audits & Property Due Diligence: Conduct H&S inspections, property assessments, and compliance reviews.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in security management, HSW, and operational resilience.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety

Preferred

  • ASIS CPP, PSP, or APP certification.
  • SIA Security License.
  • Strong knowledge of UK & Jersey security regulations, compliance, and risk management.
  • Experience in project management, crisis response, and emergency planning.
  • Leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Additional Information

  • Full-time, onsite (London, 5 days a week). Some out-of-hours work and travel may be required.
