Our 4100 is a Cardiac Telemetry/ Renal Unit that performs peritoneal dialysis. Unit population consists of complex patients with conditions such as CHF (Congestive Heart Failure), ESRD, cardiac arrythmia, acute coronary syndrome and multiple other comorbidities. As an RN, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. In this role, you will interact directly with patients and their families, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and provide healthcare education as needed.

A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00PM – 7:30AM, including every other weekend and 3 holidays per year. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Provide nursing care based on patient-centered outcomes and standards of care based on current research and evidence-based practice. 

  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.  

  • Safely administer patient care and treatments in accordance with the Standards of Safe Nursing Practice and institutional policy. 

  • Safely administer medications in accordance with the Standards of Safe Nursing Practice and institutional policy  

  • Involve the patient and family (or designee) in developing a plan of care individualized to patient cultural, religious and educational needs. 

  • Participate in on-going interdisciplinary evaluation of patient/family outcomes and contribute to the improvement of care 

  • Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies and requirements.  

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) 

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)  


Physical Requirements:

  • Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

  • Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.

  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.

  • Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.

  • Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.

  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required
