Position Overview: 

We are looking for a MaterialsManagerwho has extensive experience in a manufacturing setting toberesponsible formanaging the auditing of bills of lading formaterialsreceived andinspectionsof materials for good conditionincooperation with the Quality Manager and Quality Inspectors. Once received,the Materials ManagermanagesInventory Control toensurethe materialisadded toinventory,secured,anddistributedaccordingly,ensuringsafe stocks and cycle counts are done accurately.   

The Materials Manager is also responsible for shipping finished goods, returns and other materials to customers, suppliers and others asrequired. The Manager will work with internal and external shipping and distribution resources to achieve goals.      

Duties include: 

  • Provides leadership and direction totheir direct reports who areresponsible for all inbound and outbound equipment/components/material. 

  • Responsible for leading the inventory control management processes anddirectsactivities of inventory control employees. 

  • Leads annual physical inventory. 

  • Correctly interpret and enforcecompany policies and procedures to ensure compliance. 

  • Managesinventorycontrol, conducts/leadscyclecountingand inventory control processes and audits. 

  • Accurately document all receivables fromtheir multiplesources (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Pine Drivers, Customer Drop Off and other sources). 

  • Assistthe Quality Departmentwithinspectionsof all equipment/components/materialupon arrival. 

  • Generatereceipt of goods reportswith three (3) check off/sign off prior to submittal to accounting. 

  • Promptly communicatesall discrepancies (missing items, damages, unexpectedreturnsand any others that come up)with operations management and scheduling. 

  • Maintainsa clean and efficient work area at all times. 

  • Reviews,generatesand implements processes to meet or exceed customer expectations. 

  • Measure work performance;comparesresults toobjectives; takescorrective actions. 

  • Establish,maintainand promote exceptional customer service. 

  • Analyze and recommend improvements to procedures and methodsregardinginventory accuracy, operational processes,streamliningand customer service.   

  • Knowledge ofmanufacturingshipping, receiving, and warehouse operations. 

  • Knowledgeable in the principles and practices of effective customer service. 

  • All other duties as assigned. 

 

Skills/Qualifications: 

  • Must Have: Strong experience in a manufacturing environment.   

  • Knowledge in ERP withOracleexperience preferred,inventory control experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred. 

  • Strong skills in excel, data mining, and tracking KPIs.  

  • Ability to work under pressure withtightdeadlines. 

  • Microsoft Office Skillsrequired, MS Visio and MS Professional preferred.     

  • High School Diploma/GEDrequiredwithpost-secondaryeducation in manufacturing management-supply chain managementstronglyencouraged. 

  • Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.   

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.   

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.   

  • Adaptable to a fast-paced and changing environment 

 

Salary:Salaryrangeforthispositionis$122to $135Kperyear. Payisbasedonseveralfactorsincludingbut notlimitedtoeducation,workexperience,certifications, etc.
