Salary Range:

$170,000.00 - $220,000.00

What’s the role?
Etsy is seeking a Director, Video Content Studio to lead and grow in-house video creative and production for our Advertising, Influencer and Social team, fueling content creation across Etsy's paid, organic and influencer channels.

This role is responsible for leading and growing an agile team responsible for crafting agile, audience-first, platform-intentional creative for Etsy's diverse buyer audiences.

Working in tandem with the Director, Paid Content & Storytelling, a major focus of this role will include development and production of video and social assets for Etsy's advertising campaigns, ensuring our content tells the best story for our brand. You’ll manage a team that demonstrates outstanding storytelling capabilities across platforms to achieve our brand awareness and consideration objectives.


This is a full-time position reporting to the Senior Director, Advertising, Social and Influencer Marketing. This role requires your presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week depending on your proximity to the office. What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Partnering with Brand and Social teams to develop content that helps to move the Etsy brand forward across multiple workstreams

  • Leading and scaling a team capable of recognizing and executing creative in areas where the Etsy brand intersects with culture

  • Creative and strategic leadership on key organic video channels such as TikTok, Meta and YouTube, as well as video content and production across organic channels

  • Working with celebrity and influencer talent to create original content aimed at showcasing Etsy as the best place to find unique items and gifts

  • Of course, this is just a sample of the kinds of work this role will require! You should assume that your role will encompass other tasks, too, and that your job duties and responsibilities may change from time to time at Etsy's discretion, or otherwise applicable with local law.

Qualities that will help you thrive in this role are:

  • 10+ years of experience leading video creative and production for a brand, media organization or agency

  • Experience leading agile, high performing teams known for embodying and encouraging a culture of creativity, inclusivity and collaboration

  • A keen understanding of the difference between prestige brand content, social native formats and everything in between

  • Experience identifying and telling compelling stories in multiple formats, across multiple platforms for multiple audiences

  • Experience creating and producing advertising formats across both digital and TV platforms in an agile, efficient manner that prioritizes quality

  • Deep knowledge of the cultural landscape: you’re immersed in social, advertising and content trends as well as channel dynamics

  • The ability to develop and establish a distinctive brand voice in advertising and in-feed content

  • A proven track record of optimizing creative and content based on creative performance insights

  • Experience leading content production with a variety of partners, including in-house production teams, agencies, celebrity talent and self-produced content creators

  • Expertise developing creative for paid and organic formats - particularly for Meta, YouTube and TikTok - and a clear understanding of how creative approaches and user experiences differ by channel and objective

  • Direct and recent experience working in a cross-functional capacity, supporting and collaborating with multiple partners in multiple capacities

  • Clear, considerate and effective interpersonal abilities- you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams and know how to build strong working relationships with peers and partners

  • A passion for supporting small businesses, creativity and craftsmanship
