Job Purpose

To Lead the Commercial Operations in the LOC and act as a key partner to GM, Business Unit Heads, Sales Leaders and Marketers to improve customer experience, enhance capabilities and drive performance and operational effectiveness.

Member of the Board of Directors in Portugal.

Scope of the role: Innovation, Digital, Data, Omnichannel, Analytics, Capabilities (Marketing, Sales, Medical)

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the LOC team of Commercial Operations, and lead the development of the strategic and tactical plan for commercial operations team. Become the Strategic and operational partner to ensure the organization has the capabilities, infrastructure and processes/tools to perform

  • Accountable for leading and evolving LOC digital, omnichannel strategy and operations in line with global and leveraging digital, omnichannel and AI global enablers, platforms, and channels.

  • Drive and evolve Commercial capabilities including marketing Selling excellence and Account Management capabilities and initiatives aligned with overall IPTc priorities and EU Commercial/Selling Excellence priorities and offering

  • Accountable for LOC contact with to work with Area Commercial Operations Lead as well as regional and global stakeholders, such as Digital Fuel Tech teams, Marketing and Sales Excellence Teams

  • Act as the key point of contact for Digital, Omnichannel Marketing and Sales Capabilities to drive strong stakeholder management with EU and Global stakeholders to share and learn best practice

  • Drive Performance management to define and measure key lead/lag/input KPIs to measure and improve performance.

  • Leverage data and analytics to focus on impactful sales, marketing and medical activities across omnichannel for improved effectiveness of digital and omnichannel marketing and sales activities

  • Accountable for the implementation of Account Management across relevant TAs and functions, including the roll out and embedding Account Management capabilities, frameworks and tools leveraging resources developed at EU level

  • Accountable for the implementation of Segmentation & Targeting processes and resulting development of strategic and tactical plans and Omnichannel cycle planning process Accountable for the implementation and optimization of Sales Force Incentive (SFI) at LOC, acting as the point of contact with Axtria and EU/global and supporting the LOC Sales leaders in planning and implementation.

  • Accountable for the compliance of Commercial operations related activities and processes in line with global/local SOPs and guidance

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Business and/or life science or equivalent

  • Experience and understanding of the pharmaceuticals commercial environment and broad commercial experience in sales and marketing and commercial excellence

  • Leadership in the implementation of large scale cross- functional initiatives

  • Experience operating at all levels of the organization and

    with multiple stakeholders
