Are you a visual storyteller with a passion for creating design identities for brand moments and product campaigns? With the additional experience of bringing these to life within branded environments?

Gymshark are looking for a multi-talented Graphic Designer to help to shape distinctive brand design directions for multi-channel rollout including digital, retail, pop-ups and events. Working within the brand design team to create immersive, aligned and memorable brand experiences for their community.

In this role you’ll be shaping the future of how Gymshark shows up through their brand touchpoints. Responsible for delivering design concept creation, brand design playbooks and execution visuals, as well as building strong internal and external relationships to ensure consistency and alignment exists at every level

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Working on projects which aim to make Gymshark famous, achieving wider stakeholder KPIs such as conversion and engagement. This will involve working closely with wider GTM business departments collaboratively.
  • Delivering design concept for brand moments and product campaigns which aim to improve brand advocacy and value awareness alongside all other teams in the wider creative department as well as stakeholders in the wider business.
  • Required to create design playbooks that will allow regional teams and external agencies to produce always on content on our behalf.
  • Overseeing the delivery of distinctive design directions of some of our branded environments and product showcases in retail, pop-ups and events - all to create immersive, aligned and memorable brand experiences and moments for our community.
  • Driving change within our community and our business through the power of design.
  • Making sure all design output is consistently to the highest standard - in quality, attention to detail and through its brand alignment and innovation in our sector.
  • Working with any junior members of the team to mentor and develop them whilst pushing and inspiring those more senior in the team.
  • Constantly pushing yourself to learn new skills and then where appropriate apply them to improve your creative process and output.
  • Responsible for working to a set budget per project alongside producers and project managers and other creative executors.
  • Suggest process improvements in the way you are working for the design process which will have an impact on the wider creative department.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED: A passion and drive to deliver world-class, genre-defining work. Ideally you would have worked agency within the brand/events space. As this opportunity is exposed to the full lifecycle of our creative projects, we are looking for someone who has experience working hands-on, concept to kick-off. 

Essential Criteria:

  • A plethora of visual or graphic design work with an excellent portfolio that covers design across both campaign and storytelling mediums.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, in addition to a design related degree or similar level qualification.
  • Experience across a plethora of channels and campaign types with deep expertise in translating design direction across them.
  • Demonstrate delivery of concept for in-real-live experiences for events and retail, working with visual merchandisers and events planners to create immersive, aligned and memorable brand experiences.
  • An admiration and an in-depth understanding of basic graphic design principles, typography, composition, colour and strong command of industry standard tools (Adobe CC) to deliver print, digital and motion design.
  • Experience collaborating with other designers of all levels, creatives, copywriters, technologists and production teams to seamlessly execute projects.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, written, interpersonal and inter-departmental.
  • Examples of mentorship across more junior members of a team, helping develop them to deliver truly remarkable, influential and impactful work.
  • A solid understanding of media as well as the marketing industry at large; an ability and a desire to adapt to the changing landscape.
  • Ability to take design direction to delivery.

WHAT YOU COULD ALSO HAVE:

  • Experience using Figma.
  • Experience building 3D models, renders and environments to show proof of concept.

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.
