Summary: We are seeking a skilled Proofpoint Lead Administrator / Email Security Lead to manage, optimize, support and lead our organization’s email-security team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Proofpoint Protection Server (PPS), Targeted Attack Protection (TAP), Email Encryption, and related threat-protection tools. This role is responsible for implementing security policies, monitoring threats, troubleshooting delivery issues, and ensuring a secure and reliable email infrastructure. Roles & Responsibilities: -Configure, manage, and maintain Proofpoint Protection Server (PPS) and TAP. -Create and manage email security policies, filters, DLP rules, and encryption settings. -Monitor email flow, quarantine, and threat analytics dashboards. -Troubleshoot email delivery, reputation issues, and spam filtering. Threat Detection & Response -Review and respond to phishing, malware, and targeted-attack alerts. -Analyze suspicious emails and escalate incidents as needed. -Collaborate with SOC, IT Security, and Infrastructure teams to mitigate risks. Configuration & Optimization -Manage SMTP routes, mail gateways, and directory integrations (LDAP/AD). -Maintain user- and AD-based groups, role assignments, and end-user tools (e.g., Proofpoint Essentials). -Optimize system configurations based on threat intelligence and best practices. Reporting & Compliance -Generate regular reports on threats, message trends, and policy effectiveness. -Support compliance requirements (e.g., email retention, DLP audits, encryption rules). -Provide end-user support for quarantined messages and false positives. -Perform platform updates, patching, and certificate management. -Maintain documentation for configurations, procedures, and incident workflows. People Management -Lead, mentor, and groom a team of Proofpoint developers and support engineers. Professional & Technical Skills: -Experience working with Proofpoint or similar email-security platforms. -Strong understanding of SMTP, DNS, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MIME, and email authentication. -Experience in cybersecurity, incident response, or email-infrastructure engineering. -Familiarity with Active Directory, LDAP, and identity integrations. -Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. -Demonstrated ability to lead a team of Proofpoint engineers to achieve stated organizational goals. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Endpoint Protection. - This position is based at our Gurugram office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
