Job Description:
The Commercial Strategy Analyst supports strategic planning and business performance initiatives within UPS's U.S. Domestic Commercial organization. Reporting to a Senior Manager, this role helps shape recommendations and communications that inform decisions across UPS's largest business unit. Through a combination of research, analysis, and effective storytelling, the Analyst contributes to projects that support commercial growth and operational excellence.
The position offers exposure to a broad range of strategic priorities and senior leadership activities. Success requires intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, good communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment.
While open to early-career candidates, this is a demanding role that requires initiative, and accountability. The successful candidate will be comfortable navigating ambiguity, building relationships across functions, and taking ownership of high-visibility work products.
Responsibilities
The Commercial Strategy Analyst develops recurring and ad hoc reporting that enables leaders to monitor business performance, identify emerging trends, and evaluate progress against strategic objectives. The role conducts market and business research, supports quantitative and qualitative analyses, and helps translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
The Analyst also contributes to strategic projects across the U.S. Domestic organization by creating presentations, drafting leadership communications, and supporting the development of business cases and project deliverables. The position works closely with partners across Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other functions to collect information, align stakeholders, and advance key initiatives.
In addition, the Analyst supports the planning and execution of recurring leadership events. This includes coordinating content development, stakeholder engagement, and event logistics for major activities within the corporate calendar, including quarterly U.S. Domestic Town Halls and other leadership forums. The role is expected to manage competing priorities while consistently delivering accurate, professional work.
