This role is part of the Reporting and Insights Crew within Financial Crimes domain, where we design and deliver cutting-edge technology solutions that serve data and analytical use-cases within Financial Crimes domain.

We are seeking an outstanding Staff Software Engineer to join our team and help to shape the direction of our data and analytics cloud platforms that we are building.

We’re interested in hearing from people who:

• Lead the development of innovative data and analytics cloud platforms, focusing on solution design and technical excellence.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, ensuring robust cyber security and risk practices are in place.
• Drive integration and optimisation of data workflows, including ETL processes, data pipelines, and real-time streaming.
• Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical designs, championing continuous improvement and inclusive teamwork.

Tech Skills

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team

• Ability to design solutions to meet the highest possible quality standards while simultaneously balancing security, performance, availability, and maintainability concerns on AWS
• Implement data solutions leveraging AWS cloud services such as Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon EMR, Opensearch, StepFunctions , Cloudwatch Events and others.
• Data processing framework using EMR and Spark Scala
• Fluent in all aspects of modern Software Development Lifecycle
• Experienced with at least one programming language (functional or OOPS)
• Comfortable creating documentation and design artefacts for Software Developers, Cyber Security review and other stakeholders
• Mentoring and coaching other Engineers.
• Wide range of knowledge and experience across AWS Analytics services, Integration services, database services and Machine learning services
• Must have atleast one associate certification
