Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional and detail-oriented individual to join our Supply Chain Management department as a Materials Clerk. This position is Monday – Friday on day shift 6:30 am – 3:00 pm. If you are looking for an opportunity to work with an experienced team and growing company, then this position is for you! 

As a Materials Clerk a typical day might include the following  

• Receive, store, and deliver materials for use in production. 

• Perform inventory cycle counts and provide support to other areas as needed. 

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and collaborate with Purchasing to resolve any discrepancies as needed. 

• Perform vehicle and other power industrial truck inspections, ensuring proper care in the use and maintenance of vehicles, equipment and supplies.

• Are highly organized and have strong data entry, proofreading, and documentation skills.  

• Are able to sit all day, stand all day, and frequently lift up to 40 pounds. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Previous receiving/warehousing experience 

• Previous inventory management experience 

• Experience in forklift truck operation 

Physical Requirements 

• Ability to frequently lift 40 pounds​

Pay Range Data 

New hires generally start at $20.00 per hour. We base our starting pay offer on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
