Your New Role and Responsibilities

As part of a new project engagement, this role has been created to support a Canberra‑based customer, providing critical service delivery coordination and operational support across a complex Defence ICT environment

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and deliver high‑quality, reliable IT services that support client business operations across multiple locations
  • Provide solutions and technical expertise for major incidents, coordinating SMEs, vendors, communications, and reporting to resolution
  • Monitor, review, and report on service health, performance metrics, and sustainment activities to ensure service targets are met
  • Influence and negotiate with a broad stakeholder group (Defence, APS, military, vendors) while managing expectations and priorities
  • Drive continuous service improvement, manage the Materiel Sustainment Agreement (MSA), and support long‑term solution viability and capability evolution

Qualifications & Experience

  • Experience working in large enterprise environments with a strong understanding of service targets, client expectations, and IT support interfaces
  • ITIL v3/4 qualification (intermediate level preferred) and demonstrated service delivery or service management experience
  • Working knowledge across technologies such as Windows (11 & Server), Unix/Linux, NiFi, compute infrastructure, virtualisation, EUC, and SRM
  • Ability to communicate effectively at technical and non‑technical levels, manage multiple priorities, and operate autonomously in high‑pressure environments
  • Experience in Defence or Government ICT environments and working alongside IT support teams on process improvement and SRM
