Job Description:

Responsible for developing, administering and directing departmental policies and procedures which ensure the proper ordering, handling, and storage of all supplies on the property so as to minimize potential loss to the company.

Job Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and supervises the activities of all Warehouse/Receiving and Shipping/Receiving Team Members on property.
  • Maintain a thorough, working knowledge of dry goods, paper products, chemical supplies, and Food & Beverage specifications.
  • Responsible for ensuring the safety of delivered loads.
  • Responsible for maintaining a positive relationship with delivery drivers.
  • Evaluates deliveries to address any issues, and reports it to Manager of Purchasing.
  • Ensures the quality of all inventoried items at time of delivery.
  • Maintains Warehouse/Receiving Team Members timecards in Kronos.
  • Assist Inventory Control with receiving process
  • Directs and assists Team Members with stocking of inventoried items and breaking down of pallets upon delivery.
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels in the Warehouse/Receiving Department, by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, assisting with career development, promoting, and disciplining Team Members, as needed and in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Ensure the integrity of all supplies delivered to the Receiving Dock.
  • Cooperates with all Team Members in the verification of orders received.
  • Assists in the maintenance of all files in the Department.
  • Directs Warehouse/Receiving Clerks to prepare boxes for shipment, and monitors the maintenance records for all shipments sent out.
  • Helps conduct the necessary research to effectively resolve Receiving disputes.
  • Facilitates the flow of information, by organizing and presiding over regularly scheduled meetings with all Team Members under his/her span of control.
  • Responsible for assisting with month-end inventories for Warehoused items.

Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED required, with a minimum of three years warehouse and receiving experience.
Must possess effective communication, organizational, and analytical skills. Must be extremely numbers-oriented and computer-literate.
