Job Description:

The primary purpose of this position is: Receiving and sorting mail, running the postage meter, sorting packages and notifying associates upon their arrival.  In addition, this role will support the accuracy and data entry of all aspects of cost and allowance activity and set up of all new items that are accepted by the Category Teams via the Vendor community.  This includes funding types (billbacks, off invoice, scan and EM support), promotional contracts, costs, and the required regulatory data as needed by the states in which Weis Markets operates.  Investigating and resolving discrepancies, and other activities that impact accuracy at Store level.  Knowledge of all systems that support Category Management, Supply Chain, Pricing/POS and any future technology solutions/tools.  The incumbent is required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:
  • Accurately manage incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Assist with interoffice mail distributions and other related activities.
  • Receive and log all Fed Ex and UPS shipments.
  • Manage and assists with mail room copier functionality and maintenance. Maintain copier and mailroom supplies.
  • Manage Pitney Bowes metered mail service and equipment. 
  • Run and distribute Fresh Merchandising Sales Plans/Order Guides.
  • Answer the telephone to screen calls and either respond promptly to questions and inquiries or transfer the calls to the appropriate individual for action.
  • Compile, copy, sort, file, and fax various documents; compose short letters or memos.

OCCATIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned:

  • Respond and resolve store support questions to provide quick resolution to store and customer.
  • Miscellaneous work and seasonal demands from management as requested.
  • Assist with Special Projects as assigned.

Qualification Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required:

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus two (2) years’ experience in an office environment.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to customers, clients, and other associates. Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
