Purpose of Job

The Front Office Suite (FOS) team is responsible for developing, supporting and maintaining Beacon Platform’s front and back office trading applications using the proprietary Beacon Dependency Graph and Glint, Beacon’s UI framework.

The successful candidate will help FOS continue to grow, exercising an eye for detail across all aspects of the development lifecycle while maintaining organization and good code hygiene. This engineer should be able to effectively communicate both with Beacon’s internal teams and with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance and maintain applications and components comprising FOS
• Collaborate with internal and external clients to understand their application development needs, adapting and customizing our platform to suit them
• Work with internal and external clients to gather and analyze requirements and product enhancements
• Participate in code reviews and provide technical feedback to the team

Required skills and experience

• 2-5 years of software development experience using Python or any other OOP languages
• Experience designing and building customer facing applications/components
• Empathy for clients and desire to solve customer problems
• A strong focus on design, testing and adhering to best practices
• Ability to work in agile-based project management structure
• Good communication skills

Preferred skills and experience

• Familiarity with Git
• Experience with Trading and Risk Management systems
• Familiarity with MVC or MVVM architectural design pattern
