As a Custom Software Engineer, a typical day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. The role requires working with contemporary development frameworks and following agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software that meets unique business requirements. Collaboration with different teams and continuous refinement of software elements are integral parts of the daily workflow, fostering innovation and responsiveness to evolving project demands.

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Provide solutions to problems for their immediate team and across multiple teams.
- Lead efforts to identify and implement process improvements that enhance team productivity and software quality.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and integration within the project environment.
- Data quality assessment of 15+ years of legacy BEP/ECC data
- ETL design and migration execution (ECC SAP S/4HANA)
- Open AR and commercial conditions migration at cutover
- Transition billing rules design for the period spanning both systems
- Data cleansing: deduplication, merging, currency normalization, stale AR write-off
- Three progressive trial migration cycles (sample partial full) with reconciliation sign-off


Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Cloud Migration on GCP.
- Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure and migration strategies specific to Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in designing and implementing scalable cloud-native applications.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and agile project management techniques.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud migration and integration.
- Competence in collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Proven track record in large-scale data migration from legacy financial or billing systems
- Hands-on ETL pipeline design, data profiling, and cleansing on complex legacy datasets
- Experience running multiple trial migration cycles and driving reconciliation sign-off
- Understanding of open AR migration and transition-period billing
- Familiarity with SAP SD/FI data structures


Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 10 years of experience in SAP Cloud Migration on GCP.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
