Interns will join one of our dynamic teams based in New York City and contribute to meaningful work. The dates of this internship are June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026.

What You Will Do

If selected for this opportunity, you will be assigned to one of these three teams:

Creative Studio, Concept Development

Assist in custom content creation across digital and streaming platforms. Brainstorm with the Visual Storytelling team to produce custom content solutions for streaming platforms. Design and execute custom graphics and key art for streaming. The ideal candidate will have fundamental creative skills in typography, composition, and graphic design. A Portfolio or website showcasing examples of creative design work is required for consideration.

Digital Video and Social Content

Assist the ESPN YouTube team by producing, creating and editing videos for ESPN-branded social channels. Headline writing, tagging and managing an overall style and voice. Tracking performance metrics and video analytics, monitor usage and performance metrics that can lead to content enhancements and improvements. The ideal candidate will have the ability to edit, create and tell stories in a fast-paced, highly competitive environment and juggle multiple varied tasks.

Fan Support Marketing

Assist in auditing fan interactions across fantasy products and streaming platforms. Research tentpole events, conduct industry research and technology trends, including AI in sports media. Update business intelligence and data analytics reports and coordinate employee fantasy leagues. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated passion for sports with the ability to actively engage and communicate with sports fans across multiple platforms.

Required Qualifications & Skills  

  • Familiarity with ESPN content across multiple platforms, demonstrated through the ability to identify and discuss key shows, brands, and digital experiences

  • Demonstrated leadership experience through professional roles, student organizations, extracurricular activities, or business environments

  • Ability to communicate clearly with leaders and team members while responding effectively and positively in fast‑paced or high‑pressure situations

  • Working knowledge of the sports media landscape, including awareness of current business trends, platforms, and emerging technologies

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in sports media, sports marketing or content creation

  • Proficiency using photo and video editing software (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere) for creative roles

  • Business experience in a professional office environment (academic or internship)

Education

  • Junior year, returning to school in the Fall 2026 semester

  • Major or previous coursework in Broadcast, Communications, Journalism, Sports Media or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application AND returning to school the semester/quarter following the internship, OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship

  • Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program

  • Be at least 18 years of age

  • Possess unrestricted work authorization 

Additional Required Documents

Additional Information

  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship, 40 hours each week

  • Able to provide own housing for the duration internship program in the New York City area

  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work  

The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour. Select benefits may be provided as
