Work with Executive Sales Management to develop sales solutions for our customers and to grow sales and margin for Medline. Manage the sales/account team.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Create innovative programs and strategies for customers to differentiate Medline in the marketplace.

Participate in overall product strategy and conceptual program development. - Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; project expected sales volume and profit for existing new products.

Maintain national sales team results by coaching and motivating employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. - Track sales team metrics, monitoring sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.

Participate in overall product strategy and conceptual program development. Identifying/monitoring market trends that affect sales, service, and product development.

Management responsibilities include:

Typically manages through multiple Managers

Provide leadership and management to one or more major departments of an operating unit or to a department that has system-wide accountability

Strategic, tactical and operational planning (12 + months) for the function or department

Direct budgetary responsibility for one or more departments, functions or major projects/programs

Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies

Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.

Education -

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field. Certification/Licensure - n/a

Work Experience

At least 7 years of sales experience to include at least 3 years’ experience in a leadership role.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Demonstrated ability to execute sales marketing strategies and tactics.

Ability to analyze market trends to effectively develop presentations, provide recommendations and business forecasting.

Skill and ability presenting to senior management or C-suite with the purpose of influencing company or client decisions. Includes presenting and reporting on project plans and cost benefit analyses to appropriate stakeholders, executives and senior management.

Demonstrated ability assessing and initiating actions independently. Experience taking charge of a situation, team or project.

Time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.

Demonstrated ability working with cross-functional teams and facilitating teams to identify and implement solutions to complex problems.

Position requires travel up to 50% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$152,880.00 - $229,320.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
