Position Highlights:

  • Position: Advanced Practice Provider (APN/PA), Critical Care/ICU

  • Location: Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL

  • Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time, 40 hours per week

  • Hours: Monday-Friday between 10:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. & 2:00 p.m. - 10: 00 p.m.; occasional 6:45 a.m. - 6:45 p.m.; rotating weekends and holidays required

  • Required Travel: Evanston, Highland Park, & Skokie.

The APP will be part of our ICU teams located at Glenbrook Hospital with rotation to other sites. Coverage hours vary including day, evening, weekend & holiday. The candidate would rotate between two sites & would be cross trained for all ICUs. Candidates with IL license pending & new grads will be considered.

What you will need:

  • Illinois Controlled Substance & DEA License BLS/ACLS

  • Current RN/APN or PA license in the State of Illinois

  • Physician Associate / NCCPA Board certification

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Associate program; Master's Degree

  • Experienced in critical care patient management mandatory OR completion of a one-year critical care residency OR

  • APN Acute Care NP OR Adult Gerontology Acute Care NP Board Certification (ACNP or AGACNP Board Certification) preferred

  • Will consider ANP or FNP with relevant experience & training

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited APN Masters (MSN) or Doctorate of Nursing (DNP) Program

  • Cardiovascular experience a plus

What you will do:

  • Working with Intensivists & the multidisciplinary team, the CCS APP will provide comprehensive exams, differential diagnosis, & prescribe treatments for the direct management of acute & chronic illness/disease for critically ill medical & surgical patients in our ICUs.

  • The CCS APP will work autonomously in interdisciplinary teams & will positively contribute to high quality care while maintaining safety measures with a goal of optimal outcomes a desirable patient experience.
