This position is bilingual and requires duties to be carried out in both English and Spanish. The job offer will be contingent upon passing test(s) evaluating your proficiency in the bilingual requirements of the position. This position may receive a 5% differential pay based on passing the required language test.

Join the Oregon Landscape Contractors Board (LCB) as a Licensing and Outreach Specialist and play a key role in supporting safe, compliant, and successful landscape businesses across the state.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will coordinate the Board’s licensing program and serve as a primary resource for the public, current and potential licensees, and industry partners. You’ll help people navigate Oregon’s licensing requirements, strengthen community understanding through outreach, and support agency programs through clear communication and exceptional customer service.

You’ll also lead bilingual (English/Spanish) engagement efforts, build partnerships with schools and trade groups, develop outreach materials, and help shape strategies that increase compliance and awareness statewide. What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;

OR

An associate degree in general office occupations and two years of secretarial or administrative support experience that includes coordinating office procedures, preparing narrative and statistical reports, and administrative data collection and analysis;

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Special Qualifications:

Spanish bilingual skills are required for this position.  The successful candidate must be able to speak, read, write, and interpret Spanish fluently.

  • Developing and executing community outreach and education programs

  • Using Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and databases, and collecting, reviewing, and interpreting information.

  • Organizing and prioritizing multiple tasks, meeting deadlines, and maintaining accuracy with minimal oversight.

  • Drafting, reviewing, and proofreading written materials, including technical content.

  • Providing professional, courteous customer service, including in sensitive or challenging situations.

  • Applying laws, rules, policies, or procedures.

  • This recruitment is for one permanent, full-time, unrepresented Administrative Specialist 2 position, and may be used to fill future vacancies.

  • *The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect the additional 6.95%.
