About the role

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Key Account Manager Wallonia to accelerate the growth of our Applied HVAC business within the Industry and Healthcare sectors. In this strategic role, you will develop long-term customer relationships, influence project specifications from an early stage, and position our innovative cooling, heating, ventilation, indoor air quality, and decarbonization solutions as the preferred choice across Wallonia.

As a trusted advisor to customers, consultants, contractors, and end users, you will play a critical role in securing large-scale HVAC projects and driving sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic growth plan for Industry and Healthcare accounts throughout Wallonia.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with end users, EPCs, consulting engineers, contractors, installers, and key decision-makers.
• Drive sales growth of Carrier and CIAT Applied HVAC solutions, including chillers, heat pumps, air handling units (AHUs), fan coil units (FCUs), and dry coolers.
• Identify, qualify, and manage large HVAC projects from specification stage through successful order closure.
• Increase Carrier and CIAT specification rates through proactive engagement with engineering consultants and prescribers.
• Promote energy-efficient and decarbonization solutions, including heat recovery systems, heat pump applications, and sustainability-focused upgrades.
• Develop strategic account plans and project capture plans for key customers and major opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Carrier and Viessmann sales teams to maximize cross-selling and business development opportunities.
• Maintain an accurate and healthy project pipeline through effective Salesforce opportunity management.
• Lead technical and commercial discussions with customers and internal stakeholders to secure project wins.
• Monitor market dynamics, competitor activities, industry developments, and investment projects within target sectors.
• Work cross-functionally with sales engineers, application specialists, inside sales, service teams, and manufacturing sites to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Your Mission

The purpose of this role is to accelerate the growth of Carrier and CIAT Applied HVAC solutions in Wallonia by:

• Building strategic relationships within the Industry and Healthcare markets.
• Influencing project specifications at an early stage of the decision-making process.
• Positioning Carrier as a preferred partner for cooling, heating, ventilation, indoor air quality, and decarbonization solutions.
• Generating sustainable growth through account development, project capture management, consultant engagement, and portfolio expansion.

Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electromechanics, Energy Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience within HVAC, energy solutions, industrial equipment, or complex technical environments.
• Proven track record in managing large projects and complex sales cycles.

Technical Expertise

• Strong knowledge of Applied HVAC systems, including:
  • Chillers
  • Heat pumps
  • Air handling units (AHUs)
  • Ventilation systems
  • Hydronic applications
• Experience within industrial, healthcare, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or large tertiary markets.

Commercial Skills

• Strong network within Wallonia's HVAC ecosystem, including consultants, contractors, installers, and end users.
• Excellent account management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Results-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and convert new business opportunities.
• Ability to work effectively across multiple teams, functions, and business units.

Languages & Tools

• Fluent in French and English.
• Dutch is considered a strong asset.
• Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively throughout Wallonia.
