POSITION SUMMARY

The Talent Operations Specialist is responsible for providing onboarding guidance for all functional areas of the company. Reviews various applications, employment, pay change, informational and other confidential forms and records. Independently determines if candidates require background adjudications and notifies applicants and hiring managers of consideration or rejection. Maintains and distributes as appropriate, current employee information, policy and procedure manuals and other communications. Performs duties involving employee communications, such as pre-employment screening, acting as onboarding subject matter expert and point-of-contact for new hires and managers, etc. The ideal candidate should exhibit excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and time management skills to effectively resolve complex onboarding issues.

DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular audits of applicant files, employee files, and employment documentation to ensure compliance and data integrity.
  • Ensures appropriate criminal background checks, degree verifications, credit checks, and reference checks are performed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain the employee referral program to ensure referral bonuses are accurate and processed in a timely manner.
  • Serve as the HR liaison to ensure system access rights are established.
  • Process employee data changes through Workday and make recommended changes to HRIS, Payroll, and Benefits.
  • Conduct adjudication processes while upholding confidentiality of sensitive employee data and consistently apply practices and procedures set forth by Newrez.
  • Manage employment document storage in accordance with company compliance policies.
  • Effectively communicate on-boarding procedures, details, and status to candidates, the talent team, and hiring managers.
  • Collect appropriate Form I-9 documentation and process through E-Verify.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related area is preferred or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Onboarding, Human Resources Operations or similar customer-facing role that includes auditing and analyzing data.
  • Prior onboarding experience preferred

  • Strong problem-solving skills; solid decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgment.
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High degree of professional maturity, integrity, and ability to maintain confidential data and information.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with both internal/external sources at all levels.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
