A Day in the Life

 The Medtronic Clinical and Regulatory Solutions (MCRS) business is seeking a motivated Principal Technology Enablement Specialist to drive system strategy and delivery within regulatory and clinical functions. In this role, you will lead the global enterprise implementation of cutting-edge technology supporting the regulatory requirements of our electronic Instructions for Use (eIFU) system—a healthcare provider and patient-facing application providing access to product manuals.             

 

As the voice of the business, you will liaise between IT, business, and vendor teams to ensure compliance and effective implementation of business requirements. The work you do will directly impact patients worldwide, supporting Medtronic’s mission of improving lives globally. The ideal candidate will be a results driven and motivated individual contributor who has experience working in a compliant and regulated environment. They will be required to have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels. They should have exceptional problem-solving ability, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Serve as the business owner of the eIFU platform, overseeing its functionality, compliance, and evolution.

·         Consult with operating unit (OU) and functional business stakeholders to evaluate current processes, identify complex business problems, and translate them into actionable requirements/stories.

·         Act as the liaison between IT and business teams, ensuring seamless communication and implementation.

·         Provide technical and business expertise to support end users, including onboarding, training, and troubleshooting.

·         Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for system updates and changes, ensuring compliance with validated processes.

·         Drive change management efforts and training programs for new and existing users.

·         Develop and prioritize the business roadmap, incorporating stakeholder feedback and aligning with strategic goals.

·         Manage vendor relationships with SaaS suppliers, ensuring service quality and alignment with KPIs.

·         Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate value generation and platform success.

·         Support regulated and validated systems and processes in a compliant manner.

Minimum Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree with 7+ years of related experience (or 5+ years with an advanced degree).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

·         Experience implementing a new SaaS platform.

·         Project management experience, including planning, execution, and delivery.

·         Familiarity with AI/hyperautomation tools and technologies.

·         Experience in Regulatory, Labeling, or Technical Communications domains.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$112,800.00 - $169,200.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).

Regular employees are those who are not temporary, such as interns.  Temporary employees are eligible for paid sick time, as required under applicable state law, and the Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Please note some of the above benefits may not apply to workers in Puerto Rico.
