A Brief Overview:

The Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist at Endeavor Health provides direct patient care services to Edward Hospital inpatients admitted to the medical-psychiatric units at Edward Hospital (EH) and who are boarding in the EH Emergency Medicine. In collaboration with other healthcare team members, the Consult Liaison Psychiatrist plans and coordinates care to achieve optimal patient outcomes.


What you will do:

  • Implements individualized treatment plans, evaluates outcomes, modifies treatment plans as needed, coordinates care for complex patients, provides patient education, and facilitates discharge planning for Edward Hospital patients.
  • Works collaboratively with hospitalists, RNs, mental health crisis workers, medical social workers, patient family members, and others using a multi-disciplinary team approach.
  • Participates in patient care conferences.
  • Provides curbside consultation as needed to EH hospitalists.
  • Provides education to the hospital staff.
  • Provides Community Education Services.

What you will need:

  • Consult Liaison Emergency Medicine experience
  • IL medical license or pending
  • DEA/Controlled Substance License or pending
  • BC/BE by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
